'Crise dos 20’ synthesizes in a poetic and prophetic way Vieira’s plunge into 20 years - delivering an modern and intimate trip through a phase of discoveries and disappointments, achievements and failures, expectations and sluggishness - all of this boosted by the first global pandemic of a millennium.

Amid lyrics that illustrate the unconscious of a youth born under the promise of unlimited progress, Arthur Vieira brings striking vocal melodies that guide us through an easy (yet not predictable) journey through experimental beats and textures.

The record was produced by Benke Ferraz (Boogarins) in the best pandemic style, with them meeting in person only to record final vocals, after all arrangements was done through video calls. On that first meeting in João Pessoa(PB), they wrote a new song “Dias Passam” (The days pass) an lo-fi epic ballad that closes the album. “Crise dos 20” features 9 tracks wrote by Arthur, including partnerships with artists from the Paraíba music scene, such as Bixarte on first single “Fluente” (Fluent) and “Anúncio” (ad) an ironic love song created in collaboration with old school legendary songwriter Totonho.

The sonic aesthetic of the record reflects our present stumble, as “Pandemonium” the opening track starts “You tell me this will all pass one day / but forget about what I experienced every day”.

Fronting Vieira as a band, Arthur Vieira, released his first EP in 2015, “Comercial Sul”, which made his way to the stages of João Pessoa and opening slots for national artists touring his town. After winning a contest promoted for bands in College, Arthur, accompanied by his band, went to record at the Red Bull studios in São Paulo, producing his second EP “Parahyba Vive” (2018) which took him to larger stages on independent festivals - such as DoSol, Guaiamum Treloso and SIM São Paulo.
The beginning of the 20s decade, added to the cliché of the youth that is anguished with an inevitable passage of time, took on pandemic contours, imposing social limitations and providing the fuel for Arthur to tell his story in Vieira’s personal and universal Crises.
